The winners of the “Sustainable Tech” Award, Irish Tech Excellence Awards 2025 are GreenIT

We are proud to announce that GreenIT has been named the winner of the Sustainability Award at the prestigious Tech Excellence Awards 2025.

The ceremony, held at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dún Laoghaire, celebrated innovation, excellence, and leadership across the Irish technology sector. GreenIT’s win in the sustainability category is a powerful testament to our mission-driven work and growing impact in the industry.

Competing in a strong field of nominees including ESB, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Logitech, Refurbed, Softcat, and Vyta, we are especially honoured to have been recognised among such well-respected and forward-thinking organisations.

Our Commercial Director, Anthony O’Dea, accepted the award on behalf of the GreenIT team. In his remarks, Anthony highlighted our commitment to reshaping the tech landscape through practical, planet-conscious solutions. At the heart of our work is the belief that refurbished and remanufactured IT is not only a viable alternative, it is a necessary one.

Our efforts to bring sustainable tech to the forefront in Ireland continues to gain momentum. With the support of the Office of Government Procurement through the Remanufactured Notebook Framework, and in partnership with Circular Computing, we are accelerating the adoption of environmentally responsible IT across both public and private sectors.

GreenIT has long championed the circular economy as the most effective path toward meaningful sustainability in technology. By extending the lifecycle of IT equipment, reducing electronic waste, and conserving valuable resources, we are helping businesses meet their IT needs while dramatically lowering their environmental impact.

This award validates the progress we have made, and strengthens our resolve to do even more. As we continue to innovate and grow, our focus remains firmly on empowering organisations to choose smarter, greener, and more responsible technology solutions.
