GreenIT Product Warranty

Your 1-year warranty

Every refurbished device you buy from GreenIT comes with a 1-year warranty as standard. If a covered fault appears within that time, we'll repair or replace the device, or arrange a refund where that isn't possible. There's nothing extra to buy and nothing to register.

What's covered

The warranty covers hardware faults that aren't caused by accident or misuse, including:

  • The motherboard, processor, memory and storage
  • The screen, keyboard, trackpad and ports
  • Internal components that fail under normal use
  • The charger, if it stops working

What's not covered

  • Accidental damage, drops, spills and cracked screens
  • Wear and tear to the case, such as small scuffs and marks
  • Loss of battery capacity after the first 30 days
  • Wear and tear to the charger, such as a frayed or damaged cable
  • Faults caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Software problems, viruses and lost data

Batteries and chargers

Batteries

A battery is a degradable component. Every rechargeable battery loses capacity over time, including while a device is in stock waiting to be sold. We aim to ship every device with a battery at 70% health or better.

If the battery isn't performing as it should when your device arrives, tell us within the first 30 days and we'll replace it like for like or better, using a battery or device from our refurbished stock.

After 30 days, battery capacity isn't covered. The device itself stays covered by the full 1-year warranty.

Chargers

Your charger is covered by the 1-year warranty if it stops working. Wear and tear isn't covered — for example, a frayed or damaged cable.

How long it lasts

Cover runs for 12 months from the date your order is delivered. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.

How to make a claim

If something goes wrong, get in touch and we'll guide you through it.

  1. Contact us through our contact page with your order number and a short description of the fault.
  2. We'll help you confirm whether it's a hardware fault, then arrange a repair, replacement or return.
  3. Back up your files first if you can. We can't recover data from a returned device.

For returns and your cooling-off rights, see our returns page. For delivery times on replacements, see our shipping and delivery page.

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
