Nearly two decades of reuse.

GreenIT started with a simple idea: working technology should be reused before it is recycled. That idea has grown into one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running refurbishers of IT hardware.

  • 2007

GreenIT is founded in Naas by people from Ireland’s recycling industry, to recover, data-wipe and reuse end-of-life IT equipment instead of scrapping it.

  • 2014

Martin Reddy joins as Managing Director, and GreenIT grows into a national supplier of refurbished devices for schools, businesses and homes.

  • 2023

GreenIT becomes the Irish industry partner in a Horizon Europe research project on electronics reuse and digital product passports.

  • 2024

GreenIT wins Ireland’s national public procurement framework for remanufactured laptops, worth up to €30 million and the first of its kind in the EU.

  • 2025

GreenIT wins the Techies Go Green Sustainability Award at the Tech Excellence Awards 2025, and is shortlisted at the Green Awards.

  • Today

A team of 24 refurbishes, tests and ships devices nationwide from a 25,000 square foot centre at Momentum Logistics Park, Naas.

The people behind GreenIT.

GreenIT is led by two people who came to reuse through Ireland’s recycling industry.

Martin Reddy

Managing Director

Martin has led GreenIT since 2014. He began his career in IT as an engineer and technical trainer, then spent almost a decade in commercial and recycling management. That mix of technology and recycling experience shapes how GreenIT refurbishes and supplies devices today.

Anthony O’Dea

Co-founder and Commercial Director

Anthony co-founded GreenIT in 2007, after years managing battery and electronic waste recycling in Ireland, including setting up a WEEE recycling joint venture. He leads GreenIT’s sales and commercial work, and accepted the 2025 Tech Excellence sustainability award on behalf of the team.

Leading the circular economy in Ireland.

Reuse is the first step. GreenIT also supplies remanufactured laptops and takes part in research on a more circular approach to technology.

  • Remanufactured with Circular Computing

Remanufactured laptops go through a BSI Kitemark certified process and are certified equal to or better than new. Each one avoids around 316kg of CO2 and saves 190,000 litres of water compared with buying new.
